Wayne Clarke has been named the winner of the Most Impactful Christian Author in New York for 2026 award by American Recognition Awards. The award recognizes Clarke's book, The Knicks 4:1 You Too Can Overcome Your Giants, and its impact on readers seeking to overcome personal deficits and challenges.
Clarke is a pastor at New Beginning Apostolic Church in Binghamton, NY, and the author of the book. His work extends beyond writing: he and his church feed the poor, fatherless, widows, and homeless in the Binghamton community, and they teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are hurting, seeking, and overwhelmed by life's difficulties.
The book draws on Clarke's lived experiences, including losing his father as a young boy and growing up in an area of Jamaica where young boys are not expected to live past their teens. He relates these experiences to the New York Knicks basketball team, who were seen as underdogs and rejects. Through collective sacrifice, discipline, and a healthy fear for God, they achieved against all odds. Clarke uses this synergy to offer tried and proven approaches and strategies that can be applied to any personal, relational, or professional challenge.
The book is intended for a wide audience, from the young to the very aged and those in between. It speaks to those seeking to better fulfill their God-ordained purpose but who find themselves overwhelmed by current deficits or the voices of critics who doubt their abilities. It is for those who know deep down that there is more to life and that they are destined for more than their current resources, conditions, or public expectations would suggest. The book is now making an impact beyond New York and the wider United States, with positive reviews. People are being exposed to a better way of approaching deficits and conquering giants.
Clarke shared the following quote:
You were destined for far more than your current circumstances suggests! God had ordained and wired you for greatness beyond your wildest imaginations or thoughts. Your current experiences are not your eulogy! This is not your final chapter! With God, your best days are ahead of you, if you would believe, and willingly engage in the process, and trust God with the outcome. For with God, nothing shall be impossible to you.
You will be blessed as you gain the necessary wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of how to conquer your giants and overcome your deficits as you read through, and immerse yourself in the pages of the book "The Knicks 4:1 You Too Can Overcome Your Giants"
