Terms of Use

American Recognition Awards is a qualification program for US businesses. We scan Google Places data, compute a published ARA Score, and if you meet the public threshold you may claim a digital award. The digital award carries no charge.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

• Violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of ARA or any third party
• Transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site

ARA reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.

By requesting a scan you represent that the email and business you submit are accurate. Qualification is determined by the published methodology. Meeting the threshold entitles you to a digital certificate, badge, and public winner page. It is not a ranking of all businesses and does not guarantee qualification in a later year.

ARA may flag or refuse abusive, automated, or misleading scans, and may revoke an award if the underlying listing is fraudulent. One award may be claimed per Google place per calendar year.

By claiming an award you grant ARA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish the business name, award title, ARA Score, scan date, and verification ID on the Site.

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of American Recognition Awards or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without express written permission from ARA.

The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

ARA does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Recognition Awards and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site or the ARA program, even if ARA has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. ARA has no control over the content of those sites and accepts no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

ARA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.
